Mattel's Secret Wars! ...Why are there only 2 commercials online?

Seriously! Why can i are there a million videos of Sonic fan-fiction, yet only 2 commercials for Mattel's 1984 Secret Wars toyline?

Anyways, SECRET WARS!





Basically, the gist was they're regular figures, but with shields that reveal their secret identities! Not a shabby feature considering the previous major Marvel action figure line's big feature was having real cloth clothes.

Here's a weird French commercial for... something related to the line.



Well, regardless of whatever THAT was, there was one big problem that really affected their success... Kenner's Super Powers Collection.




Well, in all actuality, it was the Super Powers line that came out first. Mattel's line came out not too late after, but it was too little, too late.
